I usually just use the UNIX command since it gets all the updates in one go and we have plenty of bandwidth out to the Internet here at my university. If pushing packages continues to be a problem for you, post back in a new thread and perhaps someone here can help sort it out. My experience, though, is that pushing packages and copying files through ARD has always been a bit flakey. If a problem occurs, try restarting the client system and try the package/copy again.
